LUXURY FARM COTTAGES - Abalone Cottage is set In a sheltered farm setting, close to sea and surf, this quartet of immaculately restored farm buildings exudes lightness, brightness and comfort. Oak floors are heated, plasma screens abound, kitchens burst with utensils, beds are electrically primed to recline and the whole places oozes Cornish chic. Philippe Starck bathrooms are resplendent with white fluffy bathrobes and towels, beds are topped with super-soft pillows. Throughout are intriguing pieces of wood furniture; one cottage has outdoor seats built from a far off goldmine's supporting timbers. Step outside and all is as beautifully maintained as in. A subtropical approach leads to manicured lawns and borders and a barbecue for warm evenings. There's also a communal shed for bikes and boards and a shower to wash off the sand; the owners, who run a plant nursery and farm shop on site, are committed to quality and have thought of everything a couple or an extended party might need.
IDEAL FOR KIDS - Children love it at Abalone Cottage ; part of a real working farm; Jacob sheep, hens, geese, goats, doves, a garden with a play-tower and a separate games and football area in 26 private acres. Indoor attractions nearby include Harlequins where there is a large indoor soft play facility and bowling or Splash Pool next door with its wave machine, monster flumes and shallows for the younger children. Further a field are Trethorne leisure park, Milky Way, Big Sheep and Otter Sanctuary are brilliant distractions. Each of them has special zones for babies and toddlers with ball pools, soft play and ride on tractors.
BABY SITTING SERVICE - Have a night out in peace and leave the children in the capable hands of one of the qualified babysitters (by prior arrangement) Whatever you decide to do, you can be sure that you'll have a wonderful holiday.
OUR OWN FARM SHOP - Pop into the Farm Shop to pick up Bacon, Eggs and Sausages for your breakfast.
FARM ANIMALS - The grounds are beautifully laid out with gravelled paths around the farm leading to our animals. Pass the time of day with Connie, the Kune Kune pig or take Breeze, the pony an apple, check out the geese, chickens, Jacobs sheep and Pygmy goats. If you follow the path to the top field there are breathtaking views to the cliffs and the sea.
NEAR THE BEACHES - Abalone Cottage is situated back from the Atlantic Highway on the Cornish Coast a few minutes drive from the main surfing beaches of Crooklets, Summerlease and Widemouth Bay. Bude and all its facitilities are also a few minutes away. Bude has most shops, numerous cafes and restaurants not to mention more than its share of surfing shops with the very latest merchandise. Bude is an unspoilt area with plenty of space to enjoy all that the North Cornish Coast has to offer. Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches are ideal family days out with and hard golden sand and intriguing rock pools. The beaches are patrolled by lifeguards in the main season. There is one of Britains' few tidal swimming pools, which fills up with seawater at every high-tide and is ideal for children and adults. There are a total of 10 local beaches : Duckpool - dog friendly, Sandymouth - dog friendly, Northcott Mouth - secluded, Crooklets - Wide expanse of sand, Summerleaze - Outdoor Sea Pool, Upton Beach - Great rock pooling, Widemouth Bay - Lots of sand, famous surfing beach, Black Rock - Miles of flat golden sand, Millook - Unique geological interest, Crackington Haven - Top rock pooling.

The cottages are set within a large timber fenced enclosed area to 3 sides with a large lawn, night lights, paved areas to each cottage and patio areas with quality wooden furniture, timber decked sun terrace with quality garden furniture and barbeque leading to a magnificent landscaped garden with far reaching countryside views, swimming pool, trampoline and tree swing. Each of the 4 luxury cottages are bordered by thousands of seashells and have gabled ceilings, beams, 42" plasma or 32" LCD televisions and wireless broadband internet connection.
ABALONE COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
Abalone Cottage (Sleeps 2-4+ Pet) is let from Saturday to Saturday, keys are made available from 3.00pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 10.00am on the last day of your holiday. The very high standard will appeal to discerning guests looking for luxury holiday accommodation near the seaside in North Cornwall.
ABALONE COTTAGE : Beautifully presented luxury character cottage with gabled ceiling and beams. Abalone Cottage (sleeps 2 +2). This cottage comprises a double bedroom with delux ensuite shower room and an open plan living area with an additional sofa bed. You walk out onto the main garden with easy access to the decked area and barbecue. The kitchen is beautifully crafted out of oak with slate work-tops and fully fitted with hob, oven and dishwasher. There is a plasma television in the main area. There is a dining table for four. The bedroom is fitted with electric beds and has an LCD HD ready television. The shower room has a luxury shower, complete with drench shower and body wash.
PATIO & BARBEQUE AREA : You walk out onto the main garden with easy access to the decked area and barbecue.
BROADBAND INTERNET CONNECTION : Wireless Broadband Internet Connection.
LARGE LANDSCAPED GARDEN : There is an immaculately manicured lawn and landscaped communial garden for the 4 cottages.
